Parcel delivery company Evri has today (20 February) announced a further extension to its partnership with shipping platform Parcel2Go, marking the next chapter in their long-standing collaboration.
This renewed agreement – which will span 15 years - aims to “build on the strategic relationship already established by both brands, as they jointly explore further growth opportunities,” the two said.
Evri and Parcel2Go say they’ve worked closely to provide consumers and businesses access to affordable and reliable delivery services, with the new chapter seeing both brands “expand on their shared ambition to drive future growth through enhanced services and innovation.”
Coinciding with this, and expanding on their existing drop-off offering, is the launch of Parcel2Go’s Shop2Shop and locker service for Evri, which, for the first time, enables consumers and businesses accessing Evri’s services through the platform to have their parcels delivered to their nearest ParcelShop or locker.
This means alongside Evri’s existing courier collection service on offer through the shipping platform, consumers and businesses can now enjoy more choice when it comes to delivery methods.
With a current network of over 11,000 ParcelShop and locker locations, this launch follows a previous announcement by Evri of its plans to double this number by 2030, which forms part of a £50m investment by the parcel delivery company.
Claire Phelan, head of ecommerce partnerships at Evri, said: “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Parcel2Go, which has seen us collaborating for more than fifteen years, and reflects both the strength of what we’ve built together and our shared confidence in what lies ahead.
“During that time, we’ve worked together to ensure greater choice, value and reliability for both consumers and businesses, and with the launch of Parcel2Go’s new drop-off service this next chapter will continue to build on this, as we explore significant growth opportunities to deliver even more for consumers in the UK and beyond.”
Ashley Taylor, director of commercial at Parcel2Go, added: “Providing consumers and businesses with greater choice and flexibility in delivery has always been a priority for us. The addition of our new shop-to-shop service builds on that focus, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work closely with Evri as we develop the partnership.”
