ADASTRA DROP+COLLECT 0020

The Post Office has just reached a significant milestone with the launch of its 1,000th Drop & Collect service, located in Adastra Stores in Market Drayton.

The achievement “underscores the Post Office’s commitment to supporting retailers in a rapidly changing retail landscape and meeting the growing demand for convenient parcel services,” it said.

Resale businesses like Vinted and eBay are some of the biggest drivers of growth in online commerce, driving substantial growth in parcel returns.

To help franchise partners capitalise, the Post Office introduced Drop & Collect. Unlike traditional branches, Drop & Collect focuses on core parcel services and bill payments only. It is exclusively operated from Payzone stores and is available to Post Office partners.

Steve Fox, from the Post Office’s Transformation Delivery Network, said of the launch: “Reaching 1,000 Drop & Collect locations is a proud moment for us. Customers value the convenience, and retailers benefit from a simple, profitable solution that drives traffic and sales. This format strengthens our network and deepens collaboration with Royal Mail.”

Pardeep Dodiya (left), of Adastra Stores, said: “The implementation was seamless and customer feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. People love being able to drop or collect parcels while out shopping, and I’m confident this will boost footfall and revenue.”
