
Protein brand Grenade is to launch its first nationwide consumer competition for its range of shakes giving shoppers the chance to win hundreds of prizes, including a holiday worth £5,000.
The competition is set to drive impulse and repeat sales for retailers in the months leading up summer, Grenade said.
To enter, shoppers simply purchase a Grenade Protein Shake, scan the QR code found on the point of sale in store and complete the online entry form on the microsite including the batch and barcode.
Instant prizes include Hyperice equipment, Grenade products and merchandise and other items designed to fuel shoppers’ summers like water bottles, cooler boxes and backpacks. The competition will run until 30 June.
Convenience retailers also have the opportunity to win a share of £5k cash, with five prizes of £1,000 on offer. To enter, retailers simply need to purchase an 8x330ml case of shakes, scan the QR code on the POS in wholesale and complete the online entry form.
Rachel Austerberry, UK retail sales director at Grenade, said: “Following the relaunch of our shake range in the UK last year, we’re excited to launch this consumer competition - the first for Grenade Protein Shakes - that we feel will generate excitement.
“Grenade Protein Shakes continue to perform strongly and we believe the range is shaking up the ready-to-drink protein category. When the full range is stocked in the fridge or alongside Grenade’s best-selling protein bars, retailers can realise incremental sales.”
The competition is being supported with OOH digital amplification as well as instore displays including a suite of POS material for retailers like fridge and floor stickers, branded chiller trays, shelf talkers and wobblers, driving customers’ eyes to the fridges.”
