The Co-op on London’s City Road, Islington has this month relaunched following a near 12-week programme of works and improvements to ‘transform’ the store.
The near 4,300 sq.ft. store will support 16 local jobs, opening between 7am-10pm daily.
New refrigeration enhances the fresh, chilled and frozen range, and also supports Co-op’s work to further cut its carbon footprint. The store also includes a Halal section and international food sections to cater for all customers.
Soft plastic recycling will also available in the store, making it easier for shoppers to return harder to recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.
Lore Dell Universita, Co-op’s London City Road store manager, said: “The whole team’s delighted to have the opportunity to invest in our store - the works will be really transformative, with a fresh new look and layout it looks fantastic.”
