The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) has just published a new guide for convenience store retailers, outlining all of the different signs and notices that local shops need to display in store to stay on the right side of the law.
The guidance is split into three sections – signage that you must display regardless of what you sell in the store, those that must be on display if you sell a certain category of product (such as tobacco) and signage that’s simply recommended that you display for customers.
ACS chief executive, James Lowman, said: “This is a great resource for anyone running a store to check they’re doing everything they need to communicate different rules and regulations to customers.
“It’s also an excellent starting point for anyone opening a new store to ensure that they’re on the right side of the law when it comes to in-store signage, as well as highlighting effective campaigns like Challenge 25 and ShopKind that are proudly on display in thousands of local shops.”
