The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised of a recall of supplier Farmfoods’ Ultimate Keralan Chicken Curry, after the meals were discovered to contain prawns which were not declared on the packaging.

The pack size affected is 400g, with best before dates marked as February 2026. The products pose a threat to those with allergies to crustaceans.

Farmfoods has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a POS notice (left) explaining to customers why the product is being recalled and to tell them what to do if they have bought the product. It can be downloaded here.

If shoppers have bought the above product and have an allergy to crustaceans, they are advised to not eat it. Instead, they can return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

For further information, stores can contact Farmfoods’ customer service on 0121 700 7160.
