Middlesbrough-based National Lottery retailer, Amy Fowler (above), who owns Arncliffe Stores, has been awarded a huge £10k cash prize in Allwyn’s Site, Stock, Sell online quarterly prize draw.

With £20,000 in prizes up for grabs each quarter, the award targets retailers who go above and beyond with tasks such as keeping Scratchcard dispensers fully stocked up. The remaining £10,000 in prizes was split between a further 10 retailers.

Amy said: “I was overjoyed when I found out I’d won and couldn’t believe it. It was an amazing feeling! I’ll be using the money to pay off some of my mortgage, so it’s a massive help. Being rewarded this way by Allwyn gives shopkeepers a chance to feel appreciated for the work we do.”

Ramandeep Singh, owner of Northwood Food and Wine, who won £1,000 in the draw, said: “My wife and I have been saving for a holiday. It’s something we really need at the moment as she’s been doing overtime at her job. I’ll put this money towards our holiday together and, if anything’s left over, I’ll buy more stock for the shop.”
