Store tech supplier Henderson Technology has announced it has reached a significant milestone, celebrating the 1,000th installation of its EDGEPoS digital media screen.
The move highlights the growing retailer demand for dynamic digital signage solutions that “help stores engage shoppers, promote offers and reduce reliance on traditional printed POS,” it said.
The landmark installation was recently completed at a store operated by independent retailer, Jempson’s Supermarkets, alongside the installation of a new Barista Bar coffee machine - the coffee-to-go brand owned by Henderson Foodservice Ltd.
The milestone also marks four years since the group’s first screen was introduced. More than 800 retail locations across the UK now use the technology, with some retailers operating multiple screens.
Designed to provide retailers with a flexible and impactful way to communicate with shoppers, EDGEPoS Digital Media Screens are used to display a wide range of promotional and customer messaging. The solution enables retailers to keep content fresh, relevant and engaging.

Content can be updated remotely and scheduled in advance, allowing retailers to react quickly to changing campaigns and trading opportunities. They also benefit from time savings, eliminating the need for teams to regularly replace posters or promotional materials.
Campaigns can be updated quickly to reflect seasonal activity, supplier promotions and key trading events throughout the year.
Darren Nickels, retail technology operations director, said: “Reaching 1,000 installations is a significant milestone for Henderson Technology and reflects the growing demand for digital signage within the convenience and forecourt sectors.
“As retailers continue to look for ways to enhance customer engagement and respond quickly to changing market conditions, we’re committed to developing solutions that help them create more connected, efficient and engaging store environments.”
