Supplier Rollover is looking to shake up hot food to go by tapping into the growing trend of reimagined pizza formats with the launch of premium, authentic Italian Margherita and Pepperoni Pizza Twists.
As consumers seek more unique, elevated experiences, the two handheld Pizza Twists have been created to help retailers capitalise - delivering “ultimate convenience with a premium twist.”
Rollover adds that the pizza category is evolving through premiumisation and innovation, yet despite this strong growth, 40% of consumers are calling for greater variety in hot options when out and about, it said.
To mark the launch, Rollover is giving independent retailers the chance to win an exclusive Pizza Party takeover - designed to engage the local community, boost footfall and showcase the new range in style. To enter, retailers simply click here and fill in an entry form.
Tony Owen, general manager, said: “Shoppers are increasingly seeking grab-and-go meals that fit their busy lives, while craving greater variety without sacrificing taste or quality. Our new Pizza Twists answer the call for fun, reimagined formats that take pizza and hot food-to-go in exciting new directions.
“Building on the success of recent Rollover launches, these premium Pizza Twists - made from classic Italian recipes - mark the next step in meeting evolving shopper demands. Designed to attract new shoppers and keep existing ones coming back, the NPD will help retailers unlock even greater sales potential. Plus, our competition gives independent retailers the tools to create a real buzz in-store.”
Rollover has also created a suite of POS and in-store theatre to help make the new additions unmissable in-store. Available to order from Rollover’s customer service, the POS kits include posters, shelf barkers, wobblers, digital assets and more.
Rollover Margherita and Pepperoni Pizza Twists are available across convenience, retail, forecourts and foodservice now with an RRP from £3.50 per 180g twist, with the competition running until May 31.
