
A duo of Co-op stores relaunched following extensive investment programmes to enhance both of the community stores.
Located at the at the head of Loch Fyne, Co-op unveiled its new-look Tarbert store this week, while also by the coast, its Marske-by-the-Sea store also reopened its doors.
Tarbert’s Co-op includes a new Costa Coffee Express and enhanced bakery, with investment in new refrigeration cutting energy consumption while increasing the range and choice of fresh and chilled products.
The larger High Street store in Marske offers all the usual Co-op favourites, plus added services including a self-service laundromat facility, photo booth, key cutting service and mor
David MacDougall, Co-op area manager, said: “We’re delighted to invest in Tarbert and extremely proud to be part of local community life. We’re committed to backing high streets and communities and the store has been transformed with a great new look and enhanced range offering great quality and value.”
Matthew MacDonald, Co-op store manager in Marske, added: “The store has been totally transformed. We have a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone, alongside added services including Costa coffee, parcel collection services, online home delivery, a new self-service laundry facility and much more.”
The two relaunched stores are among 18 which Co-op confirmed it would open in the first three months of 2026, either brand new stores or stores re-launching after transformative investment.
