Winner of Sales Colleague of the Year, Linzi Moore has been with the company for 28 years and has worked at Eurospar Cullybackey since it was an independent store.

Linzi Moore

She has progressed from a customer advisor, to team leader to now the loss prevention co-ordinator for the store. Linzi has been asked to train different colleagues from different stores on the role of loss prevention co-ordinator. Her managers praise her “unwavering patience and knowledge, and how she leaves the colleague she is training fully confident in their new role and ready to take all them have learnt back to their own shop”.

Linzi’s knowledge goes beyond her specific role - with new managers and team leaders starting within her store regularly she is someone who has helped the new management team members learn about their new store while assisting them in any way to help them understand and achieve the shops full potential. She knows all the local customers and surrounding businesses. For customers seeing a friendly face like Linzi’s everyday is one of the reasons they return to the store to do their weekly shops.

Over the years, Linzi has played a big part in the community work at the store. She is involved in school sports days, church events, care home fundraising and local events.

According to manager Robert Foster, when the store itself holds an event for a charity Linzi will 100% get involved and would encourage all her colleagues to do the same. Some examples of the charity and community events she has took part in so far this year is: Litter pick around the village (which Linzi was in charge of organising); World Book Day in aid of Cancer fund for children (which Linzi dressed up as Chewbacca from Star Wars, face paint and all) which raised £500; Community Rescue Service Car boot sale in store car park (Linzi brought her car and sold unwanted items from her and families homes) which raised £1200; Quiz Night for Air Ambulance (Linzi and another colleague organised the quiz night and organised all prizes for raffle and winner of quiz) which raised £1245.

Described as going above and beyond for every customer either coming in the door or taking telephone orders, Linzi regularly will deliver customer groceries on her way home or has been known to come back to work to gather up groceries for customers who require them.

Linzi’s role has changed in the last year moving from file maintenance clerk to loss prevention co-ordinator meaning she is in charge of minimising theft and loss of money to the business. As part of this new role, she attended workshops in head office with an auditor team and well as training in the use of CCTV and GDPR training to ensure no laws are broken.
