Booker is rolling out a nationwide of a new last mile delivery partnership with Scoot and Just Eat.
The new service will give stores from Londis, Family Shopper, Premier and Budgens a reliable grocery delivery service that doesn’t require a fleet of drivers. Retailers will also benefit from direct integration with Just’s Eat’s technology and delivery network.
The new partnership launched earlier this month in Aylesbury, and is now rolling out nationwide. By working closely with Just Eat, Scoot says it has developed an app integration that “allows symbol group retailers access to delivery with ease.” Put simply, shoppers place their order with the Scoot app and the Just Eat network fulfils it.
Colm Johnson, retail managing director at Booker, said: “We’ve developed this solution with our retailers in mind. We’re helping stores offer a great delivery experience while keeping it simple and cost effective. We’re proud to bring this national solution to life and see it already delivering results for our retailers and customers.”
Booker says the new service will be available at 10 confirmed stores by the end of September.
