A family-owned Co-op franchisee has unveiled a new look for a Shepherds Bush, convenience store following a near four-week programme of works and improvements to transform the store and enhance the customer experience.
The Askew Road store is one of four Co-ops operated by OUR Retail Ltd, who’ve worked with Co-op since 2022. It is the family’s ambition to further grow the number of stores it runs. Its other franchise stores are located in Enfield, Edgware and Dagenham.
At the newly revamped store, a new look and layout greets customers, including new, more energy efficient, refrigeration and displays designed to enhance the shopping experience. An increased range of fresh and frozen produce is core to the store’s improved customer offer.
The 1,800 sq.ft. store will also act as a fulfilment hub for Co-op’s leading Quick Commerce operation, with the online home delivery of groceries through Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
“After having traded at this store (Askew Road) for over a year and having an understanding of our customer base, now was absolutely the right time to refit so it delivers for our members, partners and community,” explained Tabrez Hussain, franchise partner at OUR Retail.
“We’ve been at the heart of this community for well over a decade now and this all new Co-op store will make sure we’re here for a long time to come. We’ve made improvements in store infrastructure and added self-scan tills to make every visit a more crafted and comforting shopping experience for all our customers.”
Askew Road Co-op opens between 7am-10pm daily.
